Malvern Podiatry Surgery
David Williams, the Senior Podiatrist at The Malvern Podiatry Surgery qualified at the London Foot Hospital, Fitzroy Square, London W.1. on 21st July, 1978.
Toward the end of July 1978 he joined a multi-disciplinary practice in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire. The emphasis at this practice was to combine physiotherapy and podiatry to offer the best possible treatment and advice to all patients particularly sportsmen and women.
David moved to Malvern in 1980 and established The Malvern Podiatry Surgery. At this time, as well as being involved with private practice, he worked for the Malvern Health Centre for two days a week. He also managed a small clinic at Upton upon Severn.
After a period of training David registered as a teacher of Podiatry in October 1982. Shortly after this he was accepted for a part-time position teaching clinical podiatry at the Matthew Boulton School of Podiatry in Birmingham.
In 1990 David was invited to New York to work with a podiatrist specialising in sports, particularly boxing and marathon running. He spent a month in New York during November of that year and attended the New York Marathon.
Over the years the Malvern Podiatry Surgery expanded quickly and eventually David decided to devote the majority of his time to private practice. Jenny Britton joined the practice in the late nineties as patient numbers continued to increase.
During the mid-nineties he was involved in establishing a sports injury clinic set up within the Nuffield Hospital in Cheltenham and worked with a number of physiotherapists.
In recent years the Malvern Podiatry Surgery has become multi-disciplinary working closely with the Three Counties Chiropractic Clinic established in the same building.
